Our story
The Youth SDG Summit began with a moment that shifted perspective. After attending the UNITE 2030 Summit, Dr Genesis saw young people across the world leading real change in their communities and realised that Zambia needed a platform where the same could happen. He shared this with Dr Mwitupa, and together they brought the idea to Dr Pious and Dr Richard, united by a shared belief that young people needed more than inspiration. They needed access, mentorship, and a clear path to action.
There was something unconventional about this. Four individuals trained in medicine are choosing to build a national youth platform outside the traditional expectations of their field.
What started as a conversation among four medical students has grown into a movement focused on connecting young leaders with industry and creating space for ideas to become real solutions. Today, that vision has expanded into a national platform impacting thousands of young people and shaping a new generation of leaders driving sustainable change across Zambia.

We host an annual summit to equip young people to achieve sustainable development in their local communities. Additionally, we create capacity-building programs tailored to meet the needs of young changemakers. You can be a part of us by signing up to attend them.

The Summit agenda topics are decided through a national consultation process. The YSF Community tells us which issues matter the most to them and the National challenges they want to solve

Through our annual Summit, online learning via Capacity building cohorts, targeted scholarship programmes, and localised Ambassador networks, we help young changemakers gain the skills, resources, and connections they need to accelerate their impact.
